Renaming the Days of the Week

Totally Terrific Testimonial Tell All Tuesday! Renaming the days of the week was one of the wisest things I ever did for myself. I did it because I wanted to have something that would remind me every day where to put my focus. I believed that if I just renamed each day of the week from what the world called them to something that reminded me how blessed I was I would have a better shot at walking in the spirit and not getting sucked into the flesh. It’s truly worked like a gem. For those that have not seen my complete list of the renamed days of the week, this post is for you. Before the end of the year I will have calendars available for all who want them. For now, each day set your mind to renaming your days to this:

I promise there is truly something about getting your mindset going in the right direction. I would compare it to when you wake up in the greatest of moods and you say to yourself, “Nothing is going to ruin my day today!” Because you just know something wonderful is going to take place. When you rename the days, it’s as if you get up every day with joy both on your mind and in your heart. When your day is named ‘Marvelous, Terrific, Wonderful, Thoughtful, Fun Filled, Silly and Sincere’, your mind is filled with thoughts that are all on the good side of things. By renaming the days, you are training your brain to do exactly what Paul suggests we do in Philippians 4:8:
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable ~ if anything is excellent or praiseworthy ~ think about such things.
I sincerely promise you that you can indeed change the way you look at things simply by making the decision to. It is your choice. Here is the crazy thing, as you dwell on these things, you truly begin to become more and more thankful for everything in your life. It’s worth the effort. Print out my list, put it where you will see it EVERY morning. Take a moment to think about each word individually.
On top of renaming the days of the week, I make sure to fill my mind with no less than one encouraging word each day. I subscribe to K-loves encouraging word so every morning I grab my phone and check to see what the verse of the day is and then I reflect on it. I also start out my morning by checking in with my heavenly Father. I seek His will and His input. I go to Him with all that is on my mind and in my heart. I say I do that today, but I did not always do that. For a long time I barely talked to God at all. Today’s encouraging word was this:
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. – Psalm 39:7 (NLT)
I was distant from God for decades. I often chuckle when I think of the scene where Jim Carey tells God, “Oh smite me you mighty smiter!” in the movie ‘Bruce Almighty.’ I so did not understand grace until I fully understood it. Somehow I thought I was excluded because of how close I was to God as a child. Satan is a son of a gun when it comes to getting us to believe his biggest lies, “God doesn’t love you.” and “You aren’t good enough.”
Today when I read a verse like the one above, my heart leaps with joy for my hope is in the Lord. Today I KNOW that He is faithful and I KNOW that one day I will be used to do all the things that the Lord and I discussed when I was a child. I am excited daily always wondering what wonders I will witness each day. I am amazed at my life and what all I have done in a short time. Really my life completely changed the day I got on my knees and surrendered my will. I have never been a weak willed person. It took a lot for me to finally go to God, pride in hand and admit to Him that I was done fighting on my own. In the midst of praying, God called me by name. Having God speak to you will change your life in every single way!
I truly hope you check out my story. I have so much to share with you and I just can’t deliver it all in a single blog post. Time Flies When You Are Seeking God!

Wow! Marvelously Magnificent Miraculous Monday! Time flies when you are seeking God! From Psalm 118 verse 24: This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!

Indeed! Are you making the most of today? Are you rejoicing and giving thanks?

Today I am rejoicing! This blog that I stepped out in faith to write beginning back on December 6, 2012 has officially reached over 40,000 page views and has been read in 74 countries! It's so amazing to have been touched by so many I would have never been blessed by had I not listened. I am blessed beyond measure and thankful for so many encouraging messages ♥ Keep those coming :-) Please share my link with anyone feeling unworthy of God's love, grace and mercy.

Last week I managed to write a post four days in a row! This week started out a little rough! From the jump I woke up late, my coffee order was made incorrectly and the first emails I opened at work were not the most pleasant I have ever received. I was second into the office which meant I did not get to pick the music for the day. Even with all those things, I still found myself in a good mood. I realized starting my day out with a single snippet of God's word for me to reflect upon had made a major impact on my day. Reading one single verse changed my outlook and my focus. I was able to keep it right on Jesus through everything that came my way.

Today I am thankful I know about all the treasure to be discovered with in the Holy Bible. It truly is wisdom, love, hope, faith, encouragement, triumph and so much more. I am blessed to understand that simply reading a little bit of God's word gives me massive protection. Had I not focused first on an encouraging word who knows how my day would have ended. I am sure not as pleasantly as it did. I was able to tackle 2 big ticket items on my must do before the end of the month list as well as complete research for another task I will now be able to complete tomorrow with confidence. Life is good when you keep your focus on Christ.

Tomorrow I will finally be making my first introduction video on you tube as well as finally emailing everything I needed to for a mom's group I am very excited to be a part of. The women I have met along my journey in the last 3 years have been such a blessing in my life. To think it all started with the simple desire to help enhance the lives of those I touch.

I must end here as my time to write has ended. I just wanted to encourage you in all you do, seek God first. It will truly make a difference in how your day goes. Give him the morning. Even if you are running a moment late, there are countless things you can do to fit God into your morning routine. I promise, if you make the time to fit God in, He will begin to reveal himself to you. All that is required is that you seek Him. With that being said, remember every day we are blessed with has a cause for rejoicing and giving thanks. Make the time every day. This is a VITAL part of your daily armor! Blessings to all who do!

Father I come before you today rejoicing in all I am blessed to be a part of. Thank you for using me. For inspiring me. For teaching me. Thank you for your mercy and grace. You are so amazing. I cannot imagine a life without belief in you. Today I pray for all who have lost faith in prayer, may they find cause to begin to turn to you with life problems. May more of us begin to understand where that tug on your heart to step out and do something comes from and with Faith act upon it. Father help us be more in tune with you. I pray for all the lost, may they hear the call and lift their heads. May they begin to seek you. May they find the right fellowship. May they be blessed with teachers of the truth. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Thankful Thursday


When I was in my twenties and again working at Glidden Fence, Chris enrolled me in a shorthand course. The gist was, if I could write as fast as she could talk, she could dictate her letters to me without missing a beat!

I have this crazy thing in me that causes me to race myself when it comes to things that are more impressive or fun at faster rates.

I didn't just take the course, I practiced by means of music. I would write down the lyrics to songs playing on the radio. It was not the first time I'd done something like this. In typing class our teacher had stated that it was impossible to carry on a conversation and type what you were reading without transfering to typing what you are saying. Again . . . I take something like that as a challenge and I love the feeling of accomplishing what I have been told I can't. Is that weird? Today I can carry on a conversation, type anything . . . even if it is a letter I am writing from thought and not sight. Just the other day I was typing one of these blogs and my Uncle came up to me and we began discussing a job. He stopped mid conversation and said, "Oh you think you are so cool not looking at the computer typing and talking to me." We both laughed.

Regardless that talent has come in handy over the years. Sometimes this faucet is turned on inside of me while I am driving and I will get it out on paper before it escapes my mind . . . you see it's what I hear but it comes from within me . . . it is not me . . . it is through me and it comes fast. When I was in school I wrote daily. My emotions boiled out in Rhyme. It was a healthy way of working through my emotions and thoughts.

So I was on my way to work and I was smiling and chatting with my Heavenly Father and just praising how blessed my life has been. How Thankful I am. How Joyous I am.

In the midst of my praise, Gbam, here came words in rhyme . . . I blindly found my pen . . . grabbed a stapled group of papers out of my folder of past writings. Funny enough, when I went back into my room this morning to grab my coat and keys, I was told to grab it. I went so far as to ask myself why I was bringing it as I had no intention of posting anything out of it today and I heard "Take it." I shrugged to myself and listened to the directions I was given. I am getting much better at this listening thing!

Anyway, here I was on my way to work and four minutes down the road, in the midst of my praise, the first verse rang out in my head . . . I knew what time it was. I blindly grabbed a pen out of the middle console and a packet of paper out of my folder and began writing in shorthand. I don't need to look down at the paper to keep my words in order because this I too practiced. Blind penmanship! (God is a good teacher . . . he has primed me for all of this my whole life. That fact is undeniable! So much so, I can't help laughing about it. He taught me through challenges. He filled me with the desire to achieve beyond the barriers that others have placed in front of me. Doesn't it just make you want to throw your arms around him?) These are the insights he shared with me this morning about myself and it made me want to hug Him. Here is what I heard this morning:

Our Father is Good
He's so so Good
I'd run up and hug him
If I could
Oh yes yes yes I would
I'm
Compelled to lift my hands
Palms Up in the air
It's undeniable Father
How much You truly care
Praises I sing to You
Thank You I Joyously shout
Loving others as you love us
That's what this life's about
For me there is No doubt
So,
I lift my head and I grin real big
I thank Him from my heart
Praising & Singing to Our Father in Heaven
Is the best way for all to start!
If you have never once in your life sat and reflected on things or even attempted to see your life from the lens of Love, I encourage you to find a pair of glasses that will give you this viewpoint.
From The Gospel of John, Chapter 10 verse 10 we are told: The thief comes, to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Abundance comes in various forms. Many associate it with money. If that is Your belief, My heart bleeds for you.
Abundance in it's most wonderful forms comes as peace (stemming from Faith) Joy (held strong by Hope) and Love.
From The Book, Corinthians, Chapter 13 verse 13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
With these things being said, I don't know what you think you know about God and whether or not he exists.

However, if you are like me, you love a good challenge.

My Challenge to You is This: "Investigate his word with YOUR OWN Eyes. Don't rely on being spoon fed by others. Don't just listen to someone else when it comes to YOUR learning about God and His Word. Check it out for YOURSELF.

I warn you though, when you start down this road, there will be no denying The Truth.


Any person who has set out to disprove God Exists, whether they be scientists or atheists, has come to the undeniable Truth: Our Almighty Creator is not some fantasy whim that the weakest of us rely upon.

He is Our Heavenly Father. He is Our Creator. He gave us all the tools we need to live the best human life possible in the heart of a Fallen World. Why on Earth would you ignore His advice without so much as an honest investigation into His Loving Fatherly advice?

It is my prayer for you today that you begin to open your heart to the possibility that God Exists and more amazing that He Loves YOU regardless of any wrongs you have committed.
