It has been a minute since I have written anything outside of an answer to question prompts in the discussion room on my virtual blackboard or a paper that has been due on the Sunday of each week!
This week in my worldviews class, a fellow student that I have talked back and forth with asked me what I thought about a certain TV Evangelist and her message regarding a thing she dubbed 'resurrection seed'.
Here is what I think:
The word of God makes it CLEAR that you CANNOT BUY your way into heaven! It also clearly warns against FALSE PROPHETS and FALSE TEACHERS!

There are some things in this life that I am 100% certain about. I will NOT be swayed. One of those things is the truth that God is faithful to His promises. If He says something is a gift of Him, then its a gift and it will never have a cost tied to it, other than deciding to accept that we are all sinners.

Where in that do you read about a financial propitiation being the 'seed' that will sow your way into heaven?
NOWHERE in the word of God will you read such ludicrous claims!

I truly could not believe my eyes and at first thought perhaps it was a joke. But it's not a joke. It's a crying shame. I cannot believe this woman is a senior pastor of any church claiming to be Christian!
I won't even go into the Scripture she references as to why this dollar amount makes sense.
I read the article in utter shock and disbelief.
This my friends, in my opinion, is news!This to me is a sign of the times.
I knew that there were churches around that weren't doing justice to the word of God. I'm just taken aback at the cruelty this lie truly inflicts.

It is my prayer that the eyes of many are opened to the truth. I pray they are enlightened enough to seek the possibility that one could buy their way to redemption and in turn come to the knowledge that there is no mention of such a way.
Just as God has given us Free Will, He has also made it clear that grace is a gift of God. It has no price tag. There is no magical key. No 'resurrection seed'. Just faith by grace.
Read the Bible for yourself. Don't take my word for it! I can share my own personal history with God that dates back to childhood. He actually called me forth to write it. I promise you my story is not pretty, but what God has done with it is truly something else. He gave me a message to spread and it is why it is the main title to every book I have written as well as the name of my blog and my ministry in all essence. I am the messanger delivering the simple message that, "You are worthy too." This offer of grace is available for those of the whole world!
